At the moment


I've been making this as an under-layer for a navy chiffon gown. I have this gorgeous chiffon material to pin to this frame but it's proved to be difficult to shape into the right silhouette. So I'm not quite sure what to do. Any suggestions at all would be welcome! :)

    Thanks for your comment. I made the dress for a vintage glamor birthday party. My boyfriend took his bow tie off so I stole it! The dress you're making is very similar. I made a cotton base on by dress the draped the silk chiffon into place with pins, then removed the dress off the mannequin and stay stitched the dress where the pins were so the dress kept the shape.     Joyce, the dress is turning out lovely! I've tried constructing my own garments and getting the perfect shape is by far the most difficult part. I think it looks quite spectacular already :)
